The Region : Waste Roundup Planned
A household hazardous waste roundup for West San Gabriel Valley residents will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sept. 26, at the Southern California Edison Co., Walnut Grove Avenue and Klingerman Street, in Rosemead.
The free roundup, sponsored by the Los Angeles County Department of Public Works and the Sanitation Districts, enables residents to dispose of such items as oven cleaners, used motor oil and paint. It is illegal to put them in garbage cans or pour them down drains. The limit is five gallons or 50 pounds per vehicle.
