Coach Lenny Wilkens of the Cleveland Cavaliers has been hospitalized in Seattle because of blood clots in the lung area, his wife said.
Marilyn Wilkens said the clots were being dissolved with medication. She said her 54-year-old husband entered the hospital five days ago and was scheduled to be released today.
Wilkens had surgery Aug. 6 to repair a torn left Achilles’ tendon suffered as an assistant coach for the U.S. Olympic team.
