CULVER CITY : Clues Sought in Search for Girl Missing From Mall

Culver City police have called off a door-to-door search for a 5-year-old girl and investigators have begun questioning the child's family and neighbors in an effort to find a clue to her disappearance.

Marquisha Shanee Chandler of Ontario was reported missing shortly after she arrived at the Fox Hills Mall about 4:15 p.m. Wednesday, accompanied by her grandmother, aunt and five other youngsters.

"We have abandoned the physical search and now we are gathering information, eliminating suspects and following leads," Culver City Police Lt. John Montanio said. He asked anyone with information to call the Culver City Police Department at (310) 202-5608.

Marquisha, who is African-American, is 3 feet, 6 inches tall and weighs about 35 pounds. She has dark, sandy hair and is missing a right front tooth. When she vanished she was wearing a light blue blouse with a blue ribbon at the collar, dark blue slacks and white tennis shoes.
