ANAHEIM : Victim of Slaying Found in Motel Lot

Police found a slaying victim in a motel parking lot Sunday morning, according to Lt. Ray Welch of the Anaheim Police Department.
Jose Javier Garcia, 31, of Anaheim was found by police and paramedics who arrived at 5:15 a.m. at the Econo Lodge on South Beach Boulevard.
He was pronounced dead at the scene, Welch said.
Welch said investigators have determined that Garcia was shot in the parking lot area and possibly died of gunshot wounds to the chest.
Investigators have made no arrests and have not determined a motive, Welch said.
