Deborah Beece has been named president of television programming and production for Viacom Entertainment Group.

In the newly created position, Beece, 37, will oversee all of Viacom’s program development and production activities for network, cable and first-run syndication markets. Her appointment is part of a restructuring at Viacom’s TV program division following the departure in recent weeks of several high-level executives.
