Cory McClenathan, John Force and Scott Geoffrion are the leaders for today finals of the National Hot Rod Assn.’s fourth-annual Sears Craftsman Nationals at Heartland Park in Topeka, Kan.
McClenathan is the Top Fuel leader after covering the quarter-mile in a track-record time of 4.844 seconds at 294.32 m.p.h. Kenny Bernstein was second at 4.906 and 295.37.
Force moved to the No. 1 spot in Funny Car in his final qualifying effort, driving a track-record 5.148 seconds at 284.81 m.p.h.
Geoffrion posted his eighth No. 1 qualifying effort in Pro Stock, driving his Dodge Daytona to a 7.196-second time at 191.00 m.p.h.
