“Keeping the Trauma Out of Transfer,” a free workshop for students making the leap from community college to four-year universities, will be held Thursday at Orange Coast College’s Re-Entry Center.
Workshop instructor Robert Hoeppner will present the nuts and bolts of transferring, covering both academic and vocational majors. Hoeppner is an OCC counselor and past director of the college’s Transfer Center.
The Re-Entry Center is designed to assist individuals who wish to return to school following a break in their academic careers. It also serves students making career changes and those looking to acquire new job skills.
The workshop will be from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the center, which is behind the Counseling and Admissions Building. For more information, call (714) 432-5162.
