Four teen-age gang members were arrested in the slaying of a woman who was shot early Saturday in Pacoima, Los Angeles police said.

Gonzalo Rocha, 19, of Pacoima and three boys ages 15, 16 and 17 were being held on suspicion of murder, police said.

Claudia Briseno, 22, of Granada Hills was found dead with one shot in her upper chest about 1:20 a.m. at Glenoaks Boulevard and Hubbard Street, police said. She was apparently the innocent victim of a drive-by shooting involving rival gangs, Detective Woody Parks said.

“The intended victims, who have not been identified, were apparently not hit. However, an innocent victim was shot and killed,” Parks said.

Witnesses told police the shots were fired from a passing car. About 1:30 a.m. police saw a car fitting the same description traveling on Sunland Boulevard near San Fernando Road. After a short pursuit, the car was pulled over on the Golden State Freeway at Tuxford Street and the four teen-agers were arrested, Parks said.
