Road Memories of Route 66
Actually, more than two generations of musicians have sung Bobby Troup’s “Route 66,” as your article suggests (“Still Getting Kicks on Route 66,” Sept. 27).
About four years ago, the British megagroup Depeche Mode came out with their version of “Route 66.” That version of the song introduced me and many in my under-25 generation to the famed highway.
