PALMDALE : Train Kills Man Lying on Tracks
A Southern Pacific freight train struck and killed a man lying on railroad tracks in Palmdale on Thursday morning, a railroad spokesman said.
“Our report indicates the male was lying between the tracks when he was hit by the train” about 2:45 a.m. near Palmdale Boulevard and Sierra Highway, said spokesman Mike Furtney.
A spokeswoman for the county coroner said identification of the man was incomplete.
