Bad song, man: A personal aside to the blockhead(s) who decided Los Alamitos needed a new fight song and stole the plodding piece of music the University of Michigan uses: Get a clue.

The old song was distinctive, traditional and most of all, Los Alamitos had it all to itself. In an era in which high school bands routinely steal fight songs from USC, UCLA, Notre Dame and Wisconsin, to name a few, Los Alamitos remained above all that.

Until this year, that is.

What a shame.

What next?

If someone suggests changing the school nickname, I’m burning my diploma.
