PACOIMA : Man Caught in Fire Dies of Injuries
A Pacoima man critically injured in a house fire died of his injuries Tuesday, a hospital spokeswoman said.
Harold Livingston, 59, died at Holy Cross Hospital in Mission Hills, said Lorna Congdon, an administrative coordinator. Livingston suffered smoke inhalation and burns over 40% of his body, said hospital spokeswoman Jane Cessar.
A woman also suffered from smoke inhalation in the fire that broke out Monday at 11:04 p.m. at a home in the 10900 block of Jamie Avenue, said city fire spokesman Greg Acevedo.
The woman, whose identity was not released, was listed in stable condition in the critical care unit of Pacifica of the Valley Hospital, said Larry McFarland, an assistant administrator.
The fire heavily damaged one room and caused smoke damage throughout the home, Acevedo said. The cause of the fire had not been determined and the damage had not been tallied.
