Monterey Park : Pruett Named Fire Chief
Battalion Chief Ernest Pruett will become fire chief Nov. 12, City Manager Chris Jeffers announced.
A 26-year veteran of the Monterey Park department, Pruett succeeds Allen McComb, who retired in July, in the $78,300-a-year post.
Pruett, 50, who was the department’s youngest battalion chief and youngest captain, will oversee 51 firefighters and paramedics working out of three stations under a $3.9-million annual budget.
