Golden West Moves the Ball, but Loses to Mesa
David Mallroy intercepted two passes and returned one 42 yards for a touchdown to help San Diego Mesa beat Golden West, 28-12, in a Mission Conference game Saturday.
John Shipp completed 11 of 19 passes for 172 yards and a touchdown for Golden West (2-5). Teammate Vance Senteno carried 31 times for 139 yards and a touchdown. It was the second consecutive game Senteno has rushed for more than 100 yards. He also caught three passes for 33 yards and a touchdown.
Mesa quarterback Anthony Banks completed 14 of 28 for 158 yards, two touchdowns and an interception.
