NEWHALL : Girl Feared Kidnaped Apparently Is Runaway
A 14-year-old Newhall girl whose family reported that she had been kidnaped was apparently a runaway who returned home briefly on Monday, Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputies reported.
Nuria Lisbeth Valladares’ father told deputies that he saw his daughter Monday morning in the family’s garage, where she was apparently gathering some items. She then ran to a waiting car and left, deputies said.
Authorities had searched for the Newhall girl Friday after her family reported that she might have been kidnaped by a man who, her parents said, had abducted her a year ago in El Salvador.
