VAN NUYS : Student Is Stabbed at Birmingham High
A 17-year-old Birmingham High School student was stabbed twice in the back Friday, apparently in a gang-related fight on the Van Nuys campus, the Los Angeles Police Department said.
The youth was treated at Northridge Hospital Medical Center for wounds that were not life-threatening, Police Lt. Robert Warren said. The youth was stabbed about 3:15 p.m. on the campus at 17000 Haynes St.
There were no arrests in connection with the stabbing Friday, but police were searching for two youths, Warren said.
