Sierra Madre : 5% Police Pay Hike Denied
Citing financial constraints caused by the state budget shortfall, the City Council last week denied a 5% salary increase requested by the city’s police officers.
Police representatives did not attend a public hearing Tuesday, after city staff turned down both the initial request and a 3% counteroffer in talks that were declared at an impasse Oct. 21.
