NBA ROUNDUP : Kings Exhibit Strength Against Cavaliers, 109-107

The Sacramento Kings are continuing to prove that they no longer can be considered a pushover.

Mitch Richmond scored 31 points and Wayman Tisdale led a 10-0 fourth-quarter run that lifted the Kings to a 109-107 victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers Sunday night at Sacramento.

Rookie forward Walt Williams came off the bench for the Kings and scored 21 points, including 10 during the third quarter. Lionel Simmons and Tisdale each finished with 17 points.

The Cavaliers were led by Hot Rod Williams with 27 points and 11 rebounds.

The Cavaliers had a 91-90 lead with 9:44 to play before Tisdale scored six points during the 10-0 run that gave the Kings a 99-90 lead with 6:22 left.

New Jersey 111, Washington 104--Drazen Petrovic scored 16 of his 32 points during the fourth quarter and Derrick Coleman finished with 20 points and 14 rebounds for the Nets at East Rutherford, N.J.

The Bullets have lost 15 consecutive road games, including four this season.

Pervis Ellison led the Bullets with 22 points and 11 rebounds, Rex Chapman scored 21 points, and rookie Tom Gugliotta had 19 points and 15 rebounds.

Milwaukee 115, Denver 98--Blue Edwards scored a career-high 32 points and rookie Anthony Avent had 28 to lead the Bucks at Milwaukee.

Edwards, whose career high in three years at Utah was 30, reached 30-plus points for the third time in six games this season.

Chris Jackson led the Nuggets with 20 points.
