Tests of John Elway’s right shoulder, injured during Denver’s victory over the New York Giants on Sunday night, show no serious injury, although soreness makes him questionable for Sunday’s game against the Raiders, Coach Dan Reeves said.

With rookie Tommy Maddox from UCLA replacing Elway, the Broncos beat the New York Giants, 27-13. Reeves said he hopes to make a decision on who will start by Wednesday.

Team doctors said Elway has inflammation in and around the biceps tendon in his right shoulder. He is receiving icing and anti-inflammatory medicine.
