Maxey Signs With New Mexico State

Elijah Maxey, a 6-foot-3 sophomore guard on the Moorpark College basketball team, has signed a letter of intent with New Mexico State.

Maxey, who transferred to Moorpark from Palm Beach (Fla.) College this semester, averaged 29.5 points and 7.5 rebounds a game last weekend to lead the Raiders (2-0) to the championship of the Cerro Coso tournament.
