HEARTBREAK ROAD
“Cry the Beloved Coyote” (Palm Latitudes, by Kathleen Moloney, Oct. 18) was heartwarming and timely. Many times as I’ve traveled on Route 78 from Escondido to the Rancho Bernardo area, I’ve seen a dead coyote on the highway and been heartsick. They have been chased from so much of their natural habitat. Hopefully, more people will let coyotes have a chance for survival in this land-greedy world.
