Melbourne Defeats Loyola Marymount
Former Seton Hall standout Andrew Gaze scored 32 points to lead the Melbourne Tigers to a 71-65 victory over Loyola Marymount in an exhibition Saturday night at Gersten Pavilion.
The Tigers led at the half, 38-31, and handed Loyola its second exhibition loss in as many outings. The Lions, under first-year Coach John Olive, open the season Tuesday against College of Notre Dame, an NCAA Division II school from the Bay Area.
Guard Rahim Harris led Loyola with 21 points. Forward Zan Mason, a transfer from UCLA, added 12 points for the Lions.
