Humberto Gonzalez of Mexico City will defend his World Boxing Council light-flyweight title against Melchor Cob Castro of Mexico tonight at 7 at the Forum.
Gonzalez, 34-1 with 26 knockouts, needs to win in order to gain a title unification bout with International Boxing Federation champion Michael Carbajal in March.
Two years ago, Gonzalez was in a similar position, but was knocked out by Rolando Pascua.
Castro (35-3-4 with 16 knockouts) lost a 12-round decision to Gonzalez in 1991.
