BOYS’ BASKETBALL ROUNDUP : TUESDAY’S GAMES
Dorsey 73, Cleveland 56--The D in Dorsey stood for dunk as the Dons’ jammed their way to a 73-56 win over Cleveland.
Dorsey tallied 12 slam-dunks for 24 points while limiting the Cavaliers to only two fast-break baskets.
Don guard Davey Fortson, who had 26 points, three steals and two rebounds, got his only assist of the game on an alley-oop lob that senior Taryll Franklin (13 points, nine rebounds and two blocks) slammed home. Senior Shawn Bankhead scored 33 points and grabbed 12 rebounds for the Cavaliers. No other Cleveland player scored in double figures.
Records: Dorsey 3-1; Cleveland 3-2.
