Man Shot in Botched Drug Raid Files Claim
A man who was wounded during a botched drug raid said federal agents were “having fun” after swarming his house and shooting him in the leg, arm and back.
Donald L. Carlson, 41, of Poway was shot by members of the multi-agency Operation Alliance on Aug. 25. Speaking to reporters in his attorney’s office, Carlson said Friday that the agents “acted like this was a fun event and they were enjoying what they were doing.”
Carlson filed a $20-million claim--the first step toward a lawsuit--against the Drug Enforcement Administration, the U.S. Customs Service and the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department.
