VENTURA : Panel to Wrap Up Long-Term Agenda
A citizens advisory committee that has been working with the city of Ventura to decide which city services are most important will have a final meeting tonight to finish drafting a three- to five-year plan for the city’s future.
The 26-member panel has met three times since the end of October to make recommendations for a document that city officials say will be a road map for Ventura’s immediate future.
The report by the citizens group will not outline how much certain programs cost but will help city officials decide which programs are most important to residents, Mayor Gregory L. Carson said.
The meeting, which is open to the public, is scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m. in the training room at police and fire headquarters at 1425 Dowell Drive.
