Baseball officials said they won’t need an outside investigator to examine allegations that Cincinnati Reds’ owner Marge Schott uttered racial and ethnic slurs.
“I would say in this case, no one expects the evidence to be especially voluminous,” Deputy Commissioner Steve Greenberg said. “The nature of the charges don’t require any great sophistication in legal issues or legal theories.”
