Surfers’ Stand on Restoration Plan Criticized

Share

The Bolsa Chica wetlands are a rare ecological find and are part of only a few thousand acres of wetlands left in Southern California. Because of this, they deserve to be restored and preserved for future generations. The Bolsa Chica Coalition Plan is the best way to accomplish this objective.

Undoubtedly, this effort will require small sacrifices from everyone in the community--including the surfers. Construction of the jetty at Bolsa Chica State Beach is essential to wetlands restoration. There are lots of places to surf in California, but there’s no other place like the Bolsa Chica wetlands.
