Ahmanson and Soka Projects
In reference to “Ahmanson Site Suggested for Soka,” (Times Valley Edition, Dec. 12), I would like to clarify the following: While I wholeheartedly support the idea of Soka University moving to the Ahmanson Ranch project, I do not agree with Bill Bell’s plan for excluding the Bob Hope lands from the transaction, contrary to the impression created by the article.
Should this concept succeed, the Park Service would have its King Gillette Ranch headquarters, Soka would have a magnificent university site, open space would be preserved, and all of us environmentalists could get a good night’s sleep, a win-win situation all the way around.
