He’s an AFiCionado of Football Stories
I just finished reading Bob Oates’ report of the Bills’ victory over the Saints (Dec. 21). Bob did not disappoint me; he followed his usual agenda of making excuses for NFC losses to AFC teams (especially the Bills). The Bills, according to Bob, were victorious only because the Saints were playing “a nothing game,” while it was an “everything game” for the Bills. The facts that the Bills won in the Saints’ stadium, were playing without Bruce Smith and that New Orleans kept its starters in the game are irrelevant to Bob because the Saints are a “much better team than the Bills” anyway. Bob is still trying to explain away the Bills’ victory over the 49ers earlier this year.
