Car Passenger Fatally Shot in Freeway Attack
NORWALK —
A car passenger was gunned down by an assailant in another car as the two vehicles traveled along the San Gabriel River Freeway on Monday, sheriff’s deputies said.
After the 2:20 a.m. shooting, the wounded man’s girlfriend drove him to a gas station, where he was picked up by paramedics, authorities said. The unidentified 22-year-old man was pronounced dead at Coast Plaza Doctors Hospital, said sheriff’s spokesman Gabe Ramirez.
The shooting apparently stemmed from an argument in a bar, said paramedic David Leicht.
