Man, 28, Found Shot to Death
A 28-year-old man was discovered shot to death in his apartment near Universal City, the Los Angeles Police Department said Tuesday.
Alan Stark had been shot once in the head before he was discovered Monday about 10 p.m. in the apartment in the 3600 block of Barham Boulevard, Detective Lloyd Parry said. Friends went to Stark’s apartment after he failed to meet them in Las Vegas over the Christmas weekend.
Because there were no signs of forced entry, Parry said, Stark may have been shot by a killer he knew and who was allowed to enter his apartment.
The motive for the shooting was unknown and no suspects had been identified, Parry said. Detectives were investigating the possibility that some items were missing from Stark’s apartment, such as his wallet, he said.
