SOUTH-CENTRAL : Center to Provide Help With Finances
The Los Angeles Community Reinvestment Committee plans to open the South-Central Resource Center this month to provide area residents with loan assistance and financial counseling.
The center at 4060 S. Figueroa St. is part of the committee’s two-year-old pilot program to revitalize the city’s urban center.
The center’s projects will include a small-business expansion loan program, a first-time home buyers program and funding to establish a South-Central community development credit union, said Robert McNeely, a committee spokesman and vice president of community affairs for Union Bank.
