A 38-year-old transient was arrested Friday in connection with the murder of a Lancaster man whose body was discovered the same day, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said.
A woman found her 69-year-old roommate dead about 8 a.m. in a mobile home they shared in the 200 block of West Avenue L, Deputy Rich Erickson said. The man’s identity was being withheld until his family could be notified.
Stephen Deckwa, 38, was held on suspicion of murder at the sheriff’s Antelope Valley station, Erickson said.
Erickson said the two men knew each other and got into a fight on Wednesday. He would not elaborate on the nature of the fight or the injuries the victim suffered.
