10 Killed, 4 Hurt as Tanker Slams Into Cars in France

GRENOBLE, France —
Ten people were killed and four injured, two of them seriously, when a tanker truck rammed into a line of cars waiting at a red light in La Combe des Eparres near this French Alpine city, police said Friday.
Several of the victims were burned to death in their cars, which caught fire after being trapped under the tanker in the crash late Thursday, a police spokesman said.
