San Francisco 49er quarterback Steve Young countered remarks by his agent Leigh Steinberg, who said the constant comparisons to Joe Montana were unhealthy for Young and that he would be better off playing elsewhere so he could be judged on his own merits.
“This isn’t anything new for (Steinberg),” Young said. “It’s always bothered him. But how many times do I have to say I love it? It’s always going to be a challenge. It’s a challenge I enjoy.”
