EL MODENA : No Suspects Yet in Death of Newborn
Police said they still had no suspects Friday in the death of a newborn whose body was found in a bag by a cleaning woman.
The infant, a boy, had been born alive, but authorities would not say Friday how long he had been alive.
Orange County Sheriff’s Lt. Dick Olson said that both toxicological and microscopic testing had been ordered on the infant, and the investigation continues.
The discovery was made in a house on the 11700 block of Esplanade Street shortly before 12:15 p.m. Thursday, Olson said. On Thursday night, deputies towed a car from the house but would not say why.
