In India (arranged marriage) is prevalent. They get married and come here. They have a dual adjustment: marital adjustment and adjustment to this country. That in itself leads to problems. If you do not have your parents, who helped arrange the marriage, here in this country, then you are left alone if you do not get along with your spouse. If you do not have a green card or citizenship, then you are not able to work, either. That adds to the problem.
