Former Vice President Dan Quayle has sold a memoir about his four years in the White House to HarperCollins for a seven-figure sum, sources said Monday.

Quayle’s book will begin with his selection as vice president, detail his trials, tribulations and successes in office and end with November’s election. It is described as very personal.

In addition to normal bookstore distribution, Harper’s religious subsidiary, Zondervan, will sell the book in Christian-oriented markets. Quayle has never written a book before.
