George Bush Leaves Office
Before we make the transition of living under the new presidency, we should reflect on the triumphs former President Bush made happen. As a Republican and avid Bush supporter, I feel that we prospered while Bush was in office. Bush was the man behind the success of the Persian Gulf. He is also the man who gained respect by the world’s leaders.
During the election, he was criticized for being out of touch with the average American, yet isn’t he the one who faithfully tried to help build our economy, hence putting foreign affairs at the top of his list to help us prosper in the long run? This is a man who requested no farewell honors at the inauguration, for this was Bill Clinton’s day.
He is the man who gracefully took his election defeat and worked avidly until his very last day in office. Bush has defended our country for countless years, serving in our military as well as in Washington. I salute him.
