GOOD TIMING? This week’s barrage of allegations by the district attorney’s office against Supervisor Don R. Roth comes just as the county embarks in earnest on its new budget. Roth and other supervisors, already facing a shortfall of many millions, will sit in judgment on just how tight the D.A.’s budget must be. But Guy Ormes, lead prosecutor on the Roth case, says he can’t be distracted by such financial concerns. . . . “Our role is to do our job,” he says. “We never worry who the defendants are.”
