Sheriff’s deputies arrested a father and son at their Granada Hills home and seized nearly 20 pounds of cocaine, $180,600 in cash and seven cars, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said Friday.

John Arnold Greer, 54, and Alain Delon Greer, 27, were arrested Thursday on suspicion of possession of cocaine for sale and conspiracy to manufacture rock cocaine, deputies said. Each was held in lieu of $100,000 bail, Deputy Rich Erickson said.

Sheriff’s detectives and San Fernando police staked out the Greers’ home in the 10100 block of Monogram Avenue. When John Greer left the house Thursday carrying a brown paper bag, deputies followed and arrested him in Pacoima, seizing five ounces of rock cocaine in the bag, Erickson said. Authorities then went back to the Granada Hills house, where they found two pistols in the elder Greer’s bedroom and a gun in his son’s bedroom, Erickson said.

Detectives found 2.75 pounds of rock cocaine hidden in a back-yard barbecue, and another pistol and six more ounces of cocaine in the younger Greer’s Jeep, deputies said. A search of an apartment in the 5400 block of Ben Avenue in North Hollywood, leased to Alain Greer, yielded 12.1 pounds of cocaine, 4.4 pounds of rock cocaine and $165,901 in cash, Erickson said.
