SPECIAL TO THE TIMES

The rematch was more of a grudge match, but the result was the same as the Crenshaw High girls’ basketball team defeated Dorsey, 54-39, in a Southern Pacific Conference game Friday.

Crenshaw beat Dorsey, 52-48, in the championship of the Gold Coast Classic in Oxnard in December.

“They’ve been talking a lot of stuff and we wanted to hush their mouth,” said Crenshaw guard Cathleen Grice. “I know I am a good ballplayer and none of their players can beat me one-on-one.”
