David Wilhelm is acting as executive chef and consulting partner for Orange County’s newest nightclub-to-be, Roxbury. The dining room menu will feature Wilhelm’s signature eclectic American cuisine, at moderate prices.

Nightclub owner Westside Restaurant Ventures had originally thought to call the Santa Ana club Roxbury South, in reference to its famous West Hollywood sister club. But the name had a ring of finality to it--and plans are to expand the Roxbury concept beyond two sites. The Santa Ana club is scheduled to open Feb. 26. 2 Hutton Center, Santa Ana. (714) 662-0880.

BJ’s Chicago Pizzerias are now offering a children’s menu for kids 12 and under. The menu includes mini versions of BJ’s deep dish pizza, submarine sandwiches and pasta dishes. The restaurants are in Newport Beach, Laguna Beach, Santa Ana, San Juan Capistrano, La Jolla and the Belmont Shore area of Long Beach.

Some Orange County establishments have recently received kudos . . . Gustaf Anders in Santa Ana is named in this month’s issue of HG magazine as one of the best Southern California restaurants in a mall . . . and Antoine, in Le Meridien hotel in Newport Beach, was given a four-diamond rating (out of five) by the American Automobile Assn.

Carmelo’s Ristorante is offering limousine service with dinner. Groups of four or more may rent a limousine to take them from anywhere in Orange County to the restaurant, and back, for $49.95.
