A man who held up the Bank of A. Levy branch in Ojai may have been the same suspect who robbed the bank previously, authorities said Thursday.
The robbery occurred at 2:35 p.m. Wednesday when a man walked into the bank on Ojai Avenue and presented a demand note to a teller, said Sheriff’s Detective Mike Johnson.
The man, described as about 6 feet tall with dark hair, fled after being handed at least $500, Johnson said. No weapon was observed.
Johnson said witnesses recognized the man as the same individual who had robbed the bank last year.
