Burke Will Endorse Holden in Mayor’s Race

County Supervisor Yvonne Brathwaite Burke is poised to endorse City Councilman Nate Holden for mayor of Los Angeles.
“We’re just trying to work out the logistics” of an announcement, said Herb Wesson, chief of staff for Burke. “We want to help him out as much as we can.”
Burke, one of the most powerful black elected officials in the county, and Holden, the most prominent black in the mayor’s race, have a long history of helping each other.
They have loaned staff members to help with each other’s campaigns and endorsed each other in past races.
