BEACH PATROL: While the Koll Co. is fighting off environmental opponents over its plans to put 4,884 homes near the wetlands in Huntington Beach, owner Donald Koll is doing well farther south along the coast. He’s part of the new management--along with investment company owner Ranney E. Draper--that will now collect the monthly rentals at the 1,462-slip east marina at Dana Point Harbor. Management had been controlled by harbor developer Robert Dahlberg, who died recently.
