Venice : Venice High Wins Tourney

A five-student team from Venice High School placed first among 15 regional competitors in the National Science Bowl semifinals in Los Angeles last weekend. They will received an all-expense-paid trip to Washington in April for the finals.

Team members, who answered questions chosen from such fields as computer science, robotics, biology, and space travel, as well as general science and math, included Adam Diament, Hung Quoc Tran, Ajith Pyati, Mark Peng and Timothy Liggett. Their coaches were teacher Richard Erdman and DWP engineer Anthony Schexnayder.
