Awards of Our Lives: “Days of Our Lives” won the night with five awards, including favorite daytime drama, at the ninth annual Soap Opera Digest awards. Other winners at the Beverly Hilton Hotel ceremony Friday include Peter Bergman, who plays Jack Abbott on “The Young and the Restless,” named outstanding lead actor, and Susan Lucci, Erica on “All My Children,” named outstanding lead actress. CBS’ “As the World Turns” won four awards including best social issue for the story line of Margo’s rape. Winners were decided by “Soap Opera Digest” magazine readers.
