With Ohio State coming off an upset of top-ranked Indiana earlier this week, No. 5 Michigan was not about to take the Buckeyes lightly.

Jimmy King made two jump shots to give Michigan a five-point lead with five minutes to play, and Jalen Rose made it stand up with three free throws in the final 29 seconds as the Wolverines defeated Ohio State, 66-64, Sunday in a Big Ten Conference game at Columbus, Ohio.

Ohio State had defeated Indiana, 81-77, in overtime Tuesday night.

“They were riding the emotion after winning against Indiana and trying to get into the NCAA tournament,” said Rose, who scored 17 points. “We had to match how hard they played.”
